Staff Veterinarians

Dr. Scott MacDonald, DVM is a native of Halifax, Nova Scotia and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University. He then studied at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College and holds a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Atlantic Veterinary College, an AVMA-Accredited school in Prince Edward Island, Canada. Upon graduation, he was awarded the American College of Veterinary Radiology Senior Student Award "in recognition of outstanding achievement and enthusiasm in radiology." Although Dr. MacDonald has an interest in all aspects of veterinary care, he is particularly adept at diagnostic imaging, chemotherapy and soft tissue surgery.

Dr. Elizabeth Maimon, DVM is a native of Dayton, Ohio, and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Mount Holyoke College, a Master's Degree in Public Health from the University of Michigan, and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Atlantic Veterinary College, Prince Edward Island, Canada. Upon graduation, she was awarded the Senior Veterinary Student Callie's Compassionate Care Award for "demonstrating outstanding clinical competence and extraordinary compassion in providing continued care." Dr. Maimon focuses on small animal care, zoonotic disease, and educating clients about preventive health care.

Both Drs. MacDonald and Maimon are board certified by the North American Veterinary Licensing Board and the State of Ohio. Drs. MacDonald and Maimon are active members of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association and the Miami Valley Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. MacDonald served as vice president, president and past president of the Dayton Emergency Veterinary Clinic.  Dr. Maimon served as vice-president, president and past president of the Miami Valley Veterinary Medical Association.  

Currently, Drs. MacDonald and Maimon serve on the medical board of the Dayton Emergency Veterinary Clinic.   Dr. Maimon is an active board member of the Miami Valley Veterinary Medical Association.

Registered Technicians

Donna is a licensed veterinary technician and holds an Associate Degree of Animal Health Technology from the Raymond Walters College and University of Cincinnati.  Donna brings many years of experience and expertise to the practice and has a special interest in feline medicine and client education.

Jessica is a licensed veterinary technician and holds an Associate Degree of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology from Columbus State Community College.  Jessica enjoys working with clients to improve the well-being of pets' needs and has a special affinity for all brachycephalic breeds, especially Pugs.

Our practice uses licensed veterinary technicians who are trained and educated about the importance of the human-animal bond and all aspects of your pet's care.   

The doctors and technicians dedicate numerous hours each year to continuing education seminars and courses to provide the highest quality care to you and your furry family members.   

Front Office Staff

Each team member is trained on a regular basis so that you and your pet receive the highest quality preventive, medical and surgical care available in the veterinary field

Shelly is our Front Office Team Leader with many years of experience working as a local police and fire dispatcher and an animal control officer.  Shelly always has a smile and loves seeing familiar faces!

Leisa is a multi-talented receptionist who has extensive customer service experience after working in the airline industry for many years.  She wants to provide you and your family members a positivc experience at our practice.

Each talented receptionist ensures that you and your pet are her priority.

Boarding Team

Matt and Miranda love working with your family friend while he/she is boarding at our practice.

Matt worked at a large boarding facility and helped train pets prior to joining our team.  Miranda previously worked with local humane organizations.
