Meet Our Staff

Staff Veterinarians

Drs. Scott MacDonald and Elizabeth MaimonDr. Scott MacDonald, DVM is a native of Halifax, Nova Scotia and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University. He then studied at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College and holds a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Atlantic Veterinary College, an AVMA-Accredited school in Prince Edward Island, Canada. Upon graduation, he was awarded the American College of Veterinary Radiology Senior Student Award "in recognition of outstanding achievement and enthusiasm in radiology." Although Dr. MacDonald has an interest in all aspects of veterinary care, he is particularly adept at diagnostic imaging and soft tissue surgery.

Dr. Elizabeth Maimon, DVM is a native of Dayton, Ohio, and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Mount Holyoke College, a Master's Degree in Public Health from the University of Michigan, and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Atlantic Veterinary College, Prince Edward Island, Canada. Upon graduation, she was awarded the Senior Veterinary Student Callie's Compassionate Care Award for "demonstrating outstanding clinical competence and extraordinary compassion in providing continued care." Dr. Maimon focuses on small animal care, zoonotic disease, and educating clients about preventative health care.

Both Drs. MacDonald and Maimon are board certified by the North American Veterinary Licensing Board and the State of Ohio. Drs. MacDonald and Maimon are active members of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association and the Miami Valley Veterinary Medical Association.

Currently, Dr. MacDonald serves as past president of the medical board of the Dayton Emergency Veterinary Clinic, while Dr. Maimon served as vice-president, president and is now past president of the Miami Valley Veterinary Medical Association.


Registered Technicians

DonnaDonna is a licensed veterinary technician and holds an Associate Degree of Animal Health Technology from the Raymond Walters College and University of Cincinnati. Ms. Donna brings many years of experience and expertise to the practice and has a special interest in feline medicine and client education.

 

Ms. JessicaJessica is a licensed veterinary technician and holds an Associate Degree of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology from Columbus State Community College. Ms. Jessica enjoys working with clients to improve the well-being of pets' needs and has a special affinity for Pugs.

 

Kelle is a licensed technician and holds an Associate Degree in Animal Health Technology from the Raymond Walters College at the University of Cincinnati.  Kelle has many years of experience working with clients and small animals.

Both doctors and technicians dedicate numerous hours each year to continuing education seminars and courses to provide the highest quality care to you and your pet(s).


Front Office Staff

Each team member is trained on a regular basis so that you and your pet receive the highest quality preventive, medical and surgical care available in the veterinary field

Shelly Shelly is our Front Office Team Leader, and brings with her years of experience working as a local police and fire dispatcher and an animal control officer.

 

Leisa is a receptionist who has extensive customer service experience after working in the airline industry for many years.

Each talented receptionist ensures that you and your pet are her priority.


Boarding Team

Mark and Tatyana love working with your family friend while he/she is boarding at our practice.

Mark is a former member of the U.S. Armed Forces and has extensive experience working with both domestic animals and wildlife. Mark was stationed in Germany and Georgia before enjoying life in Dayton, Ohio with his wife and two children. 

 

TatyanaTatyana studied veterinary medicine and science in her native Russia before moving to the United States. She enjoys bathing and walking dogs and is now working towards becoming a licensed beautician.

 

Each are valued members of our boarding and caregiver team. Each enjoys working with and meeting the needs of your furry companions.
