American Animal Hospital Association Accreditation

Our practice voluntarily became accredited with the American Animal Hospital Association in 2007 and 2009 and has been evaluated on over 900 standards in superior veterinary care and service.   We continue to offer the most advanced and compassionate professional care in the veterinary field.   We received a three year AAHA accreditation in April, 2009 and were nominated by AAHA for Practice of the Year Award for the last two consecutive years!

Community Service

We continue to have numerous students at the elementary, high school, college, and graduate school level learn scientific applications in our practice.   Each year, an Honors Biology class from the Kettering school system watches patients undergoing surgery and learns about veterinary care.    Students frequently job-shadow the doctors year-round to learn more about the veterinary field and the human-animal bond.

indexOur practice has donated stainless steel cages, supplies and food to the local humane society and wildlife rescues.    We also actively support charities by donating our time, supplies and services to help others in need.  Examples include but are not limited to: Think TV Public Television, the Premier Heart Health Society, Women’s Miscarriage Support Group, Hospice of Dayton, Dayton Philharmonic Society, Furry Skurry, and SICSA Walk for Dogs, to name a few.

We also take care of local canine police dogs and other service dogs who help preserve the habitat of local municipalities.

Our practice is an active member of the Dayton Chamber of Commerce and the Kettering, Moraine and Oakwood Chamber of Commerce.

Both Drs. MacDonald and Maimon actively serve on the local Dayton Emergency Veterinary Board, and Dr. Maimon has served on the Miami Valley Veterinary Medical Association Board since 2005.Drs. MacDonald and Maimon have been practicing veterinary medicine together for over eleven years and counting!
